OSHC Conference - 'A Place to Belong'
November 4-5th, 2011
Education Development Centre, Hindmarsh

The OSHCsa 2011 Conference will be held over two days at the Education Development Centre  (EDC) in Hindmarsh, Adelaide, South Australia.

It has been five years since we have had an OSHC conference in Adelaide, and the aim is to motivate and inspire as many OSHC educators as possible—ahead of national changes due in 2012.
The theme for the conference is ‘A Place To Belong’. This not only refers to creating services where everyone feels they belong, but also looking towards a new era in child care delivery in Australia—where we hope Outside School Hours Care will find a place to belong.
New national regulations and standards will raise the bar from 2012, and our aim is to increase the image and professionalism of the OSHC sector—and to find a place to belong.
We hope OSHC educators attend over the two day conference to source inspiration, information and hopefully feel a sense of           collaboration and belonging.

Conference registrations are open now until October 21st. Earlybird prices finish on September 16th and there are limited places - so get in early!! Click here to register and on the image below to see the full conference booklet.

Scholarships
Five scholarships  will be awarded to OSHC personnel in South Australia.
The Scholarships are worth $50 for one day  registration and $120 for both days registration.
Scholarship applications close on September 9th. These will be     processed quickly so unsuccessful applicants can still make the         earlybird registration.

Travel Subsidy

Travel subsidy may also be sought  to enable rural/remote personnel to attend the conference. Please     record your return journey kms on the registration form to claim your travel subsidy. Return journey     distances of more than 100 kms will be awarded the travel subsidy.

POSTERS!!

We ask ALL OSHC SERVICES to start creating posters to display at the conference around the theme: A Place where everyone belongs. There will be prizes for the best.

We also want cards made by children donated to OSHCsa - so that we can present them with thank you gifts. Prizes for the best also. Look out for our card making workshop in Term 3.

We are currently receiving expressions of interest for sponsors.
