Aims and Vision of OSHCsa
This is the official web site of OSHCsa - the peak body for OSHC in South Australia.
OSHCsa, along with peak groups from other states and territories, make up the national peak group National Outside School Hours Services Association (NOSHSA).
Aims:
- To be the official voice of the sector - put forward our position to all levels of government and the wider community
- To promote practices and programs that will assist services to enrich the lives of children in OSHC
- To support families and work together with them to enhance service practice
- To promote, resource and support OSHC services, staff and management
- To actively promote universal awareness of OSHC, highlight the positive attributes and potential of services; both as a strategic place for children’s development and a rewarding place of employment
- To provide opportunities for services and individuals and celebrate achievements

How You Can Help.....
- Join the Association – we aim to attract membership from 50% of services this year and more would be even better! You can join by downloading the membership form click here .
- Download a copy of our Constitution click here
- Come to meetings and share your ideas and needs.
- Use your experience and expertise to help us achieve our aims – you may be able to refer others to a good resource or activity which can be posted on the website.
- Contact the Association about issues that affect your services or school age care in general – the Association may well be able to lobby on your behalf. You may not be the only person with this concern.
- Promote OSHC in your own community.
- Keep your families informed – families who use care depend on that care and so they can be a very effective voice in your local/school community or with the wider community. Always remember, the families who use care also vote!

ADVERTISING POLICY
The OSHC Association (SA) Inc will accept advertising on its web site. The ethical advertising standards for the inclusion of advertising are outlined below. For costs and application for advertisement please contact us.
- Advertisements must come with a recommendation of 2 OSHC services.
- Advertised products /services must meet Australian Standards where applicable.
- Products / services linked with the exploitation of children or people, or which are potentially damaging to children’s health or well being will not be accepted.
- Products / services which do not support the objective of OSHCsa Inc will not be accepted.
- Advertisements must be submitted to the Board for approval before they can be added to the website. Once approved an invoice will be forwarded and only when payment is received will the advertisement be posted to the web site.
- Advertisements can be altered during a year by contacting us to update the information. This may include time limited special offers.
- OSHCsa Inc reserves the right to immediately withdraw, without notice, any advertising where a written complaint is received from an OSHC service in relation to the quality of the product or service. In this instance there will be no refund of advertising costs.
- Claims made in advertisements are the responsibility of the advertiser.
- OSHCsa Inc does not necessarily endorse the products / services that are advertised on the website and is not responsible for any loss or damage associated with their purchase.
- OSHCsa Inc reserves the right to determine the suitability of the artwork supplied by advertisers.
Privacy Policy
OSHCsa Inc. respects individual privacy and values the confidence of its members and all OSHC stakeholders. Not only does The OSHC Association strive to collect, use, and disclose personally identifiable information in an appropriate and sensitive manner, but it also strives to uphold the highest ethical standards in its business practices. This Privacy Policy sets forth the privacy principles that OSHC Association SA follows in addressing OSHC matters on behalf of its membership.
Definitions
For purposes of this Privacy Policy, the following definitions shall apply:
OSHC SA Inc means the incorporated body that is the peak group for Out of School Hours Care in SA Association Inc. its predecessors, successors, and the national peak group NOSHSA
“Personal Information” means any set of information that identifies or could be used to identify an individual.
Stakeholders include members, individual services and personnel, support agencies, other peak groups as well as families and children who use OSHC services.
Members are those service or individuals who hold a current financial membership of the Association.
Application
On its web site, as in all aspects of its operation, the Association will respect and safeguard the confidentiality of its members by not using or passing on any personal contact information.
Material developed by individuals will only be used on the web site with written consent of the individual and the source of such material will be appropriately acknowledged.
